JOIN US FOR THE Marco Polo Events FREEDOM FUN RUN to celebrate the lifting of lockdown restrictions on the 19th July 2021
Marco Polo Events are excited to offer an incredible trail run through the fields on the north-west side of Bishops Stortford, commencing at Bishops Stortford Rugby Club on Monday 19th July 2021. Enjoy your freedom again as you run along farmers’ fields in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. The course is very flat in nature and offers a great opportunity for runners of all levels to thoroughly enjoy the run – be it the shorter 3 mile run or slightly longer 5 mile run for the more avid runner!
Kilometre and Mile markers will be clearly marked to keep you motivated as well as marshals to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.
Race day registration / chip & number pickup opens at 5:30pm at the start (BSRC)
Race Start Time: 6:30pm for both5 mile & 3 mile route.
£19.50 Entry includes:
Start and Finish race arch.
Race day support - dynamic and modern number/chip allocation
Chip timed results over measured course
Water filling station at the start and along the course – we are a plastic free race so please bring your own water bottle.
Marshalled route
Finishers medal for the first 150 finishers
Freedom celebration at the BSRC marquee after the event
Choice of either Chicken or Halloumi burger for all pre-race day registrants

Other Information
Baggage
We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible.
Toilets/changing
There are toilets and changing facilities at BSRC for you to use before and after the race.
Refreshments – Food & Drink
There will be water provided at the start and along the route but please bring your own water bottle. We are a plastic free race. Runners, friends and family can enjoy the full bar & catering facilities available at the BSRC
Along the route
We will have marshals all around the course as well as km/mile signs and arrows. The course is on the farm roads/paths across the farmers’ fields north-west of Bishops Stortford.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the occasion and be sure to celebrate our long road to freedom.
Results
Results will be made available after the race to all registrants.
Please Note:
All attendees at the event should refrain from going on the sports fields – i.e. that is on both the rugby and football pitches. The pitches have recently been resurfaced and our hosts have respectfully requested we ensure nobody goes on the pitches. We have marshals around the course to keep you on track, please do pay very close attention to where you are going as some of the paths / bridleways can be uneven in places.
